Joseph Fehlen explores the relationship between motorcycles and Jesus in his newly released book, Ride On.
Through humor, whimsical story-telling and spiritual insight Joseph shares his journey of becoming a motorcyclist at the age of 34. A man with a family, career, and perfectly normal life gets permission from his mom and wife, trades in his car for a motorcycle and begins an adventure that teaches him lessons about life, faith and what really matters most.
Ride one: A Motorcycle Journey to Awaken the Soul and Rediscover its Maker is filled with a whole cast of endearing characters complemented by the intricacies of the motorcycle culture. In a garage logic sort of way, Joseph interweaves the lessons he learned with those Jesus modeled, creating a tapestry of learning opportunities for the reader. With uncanny clarity these real life situations will assist even those who have never ridden a motorcycle, or even plan to experience one of life’s greatest joys.
It is safe to say there are probably more than 7,000,000 people in the US that experience the freedom, power, and joy of riding a motorcycle each year. Ride On awakens this unique experience of becoming a biker and the lesson that so many have learned while on two wheels, all the while introducing, or in some cases reintroducing, the person of Jesus to an audience that would not otherwise care to listen.
Joseph Fehlen, after venturing through three other states, currently resides in the Northwoods of Wisconsin with his three kids, two motorcycles and one hot biker babe. He has a couple degrees in higher education but did not truly go to school until he started riding a motorcycle.
