BMW’s Pocket-Sized Naked Roadster: The 2021 BMW G 310 R
The G 310 R is a small-capacity roadster from European manufacturer BMW. It’s the smallest displacement motorcycle in the 2021 BMW line-up. Though it’s small in size, it’s big in personality. Designed to help reach the BMW Motorrad brand-name expand in other markets, the small but cool BMW has made a name for itself as a practical, fun-loving commuter bike that’s ideal for navigating the city streets.
The heart of the G 310 R is a potent liquid-cooled 313 cc single-cylinder engine. It produces a modest 34 horsepower and 21 lb-ft of torque. That power is transferred to the rear wheel via a six-speed constant mesh gearbox and a chain drive. All in, it can propel the little roadster to an impressive top speed of 90 mph. It’s also economical too, with 71 mpg.
What really makes the G 310 R a useful everyday motorcycle is the selection of quality features and components used. For example, the G 310 R uses a stainless steel exhaust system, cast aluminum wheels, USD forks, and BYBRE brakes.
