Ducati’s Supermoto Hypermotard 950 Returns For 2021
The Hypermotard range features three Supermoto-inspired models in the 2021 Ducati line-up. These Italian-made supermotos include the 950, 950 SP, and brand new 950 RVE. We’re here to look at the base model Supermoto Ducati motorcycle: the 950. Though it’s the cheapest model in the range, don’t be fooled. It’s a formidable motorcycle with impressive performance specs and supreme handling.
Recently updated in 2020, the 2021 Ducati Hypermotard 950 receives nothing new for 2021. That means that it’s still powered by the same 937 cc 11-degree Testastretta twin-cylinder engine as last year, producing 114 horsepower and 71 lb-ft of peak torque. The previous update shaved a handsome 3.3 lbs off of the overall engine’s weight, making it quite a powerful and compact unit.
The powerful engine is kept under control with sophisticated electronics and riding aids, including three selectable riding modes, traction control, cornering ABS, and wheelie control. Other cool features include a Daytime Running Light, wide tapered aluminum handlebars, a USB power socket, and removable pillion footpegs.
For 2021, the Hypermotard 950 is available exclusively in Ducati Red, with a black rear subframe.
The 2021 Ducati Hypermotard 950 starts at $13,395 USD / $15,295 CAD.
