New For 2021: The Ducati Hypermotard RVE
The newest Hypermotard model in the 2021 Ducati line-up is the Hypermotard 950 RVE. Despite being the newest and having the most letters after its name, it’s not the top-of-the-line model, That’s the SP. Instead, the RVE offers something different. It injects some new character and attitude that’s normally found in these Italian-made motorcycles. The color isn’t a solid variation or a racing livery. Instead, it’s something else.
Most Ducati motorcycles have classic liveries and color options but now, for the first time, Ducati is using a complex waterslide decal during the painting phase to create a unique and eye-catching finish. The result, according to Ducati, is comparable to high-quality airbrushed bodywork, with a premium finish that will last the test of time.
Aside from that, the Hypermotard RVE is very similar to the base model Hypermotard 950. It features the same engine—a 937 cc 11-degree Testastretta twin-cylinder engine that makes 114 horsepower and 71 lb-ft of peak torque—and the same Marzocchi suspension and other riding aids. It does, however, come with Ducati’s bi-directional Quick Shift package as standard, which is an improvement on the base model.
For 2021, the Hypermotard 950 RVE is available exclusively in Ducati’s brand new Graffiti livery.
The 2021 Ducati Hypermotard 950 RVE starts at $14,395 USD / $16,495 CAD.
